    Greetings to all!
Please read the following and consider the request below.
This is an opportunity to let your voices be heard!
One voice could be considered a whisper, many voices are the sound of
thunder!
Warmly,

Good Morning,

I am conducting my doctoral dissertation research on the educational
experiences of B/VI students in different NJ public schools, and I am
seeking parents to interview for the study. I am particularly in need of
diverse parents from urban school districts. Please consider sharing the
letter pasted below with parents in your network who might be interested in
participating. I am excited about this research the contribution that it can
make to the field of blindness/visual impairment education. Thank you, in
advance, for helping to get this information out to potential research
participants. Please let me know if you have any questions about my
research. Thank you! - Monique

Greetings,
My name is Monique Coleman, and I am a doctoral student in the Educational
Theory, Policy, and Administration Department at the Rutgers University
Graduate School of Education. I am a certified Teacher of the Visually
Impaired, and I am conducting a research study about the educational
experiences of blind/vision impaired students in different New Jersey public
schools.
For this study, I am seeking to interview parents of visually impaired
students in grades 3-12. Parents who choose to participate will be asked to
sign a consent form and participate in a 45-60-minute telephone interview.
Participation in this study is completely voluntary, and all interview
responses will be anonymous. Parents who participate will be given an
identification number, and their data will not be linked to their identity,
thus protecting their confidentiality and the anonymity of their responses.
Participants will receive a $25 gift card for completing the interview.
Parents of blind/visually impaired students of diverse cultural, racial, and
economic backgrounds are needed for this study. If you, or someone you
know, may be interested in participating or have questions about this
research, please contact me at monique at vistaseducation.com or 201-349-5074.
Thank you.

Sincerely,

Monique Coleman
