  Monique,

This is a great initiative. Yes, please do share details. Joanna
Benthall has almost completed her first session as a mentor and she shared
very engagingly with us today. Thanks for your willingness to help! Be well
and be safe. Ellen

Subject: Re: NFBNJ and BELL Academy: Student/Parent Contact Info With
Comments

  Hi Everyone,

Sorry that I could not make the call today. I see that I am designated as
a possible contact person for a couple of students. This is fine with me, I???ll
just need to be filled in on whatever I???ll need to do.

Also, I wanted to let everyone know that the National Homework Hotline for
Blind/VI students is hosting a special read aloud/book talk series featuring
culturally diverse literature that foster acceptance and understanding of
difference. The first session was today, and it went well. The next one will
be Friday, and the last two sessions will be next Wednesday and Friday.
Kristen Witucki and a couple of other blind volunteers for the Hotline are
readers.

Since the book talk series is ideal for 3-8 year olds, it might be of
interest to some of our NJ Bell Academy students. I am happy to email you
all the details, if you???d like to share with the parents.

Thanks, and I hope everyone is doing well!

  Best,

  Monique

    ---

    Greetings BELL Academy Team!

Ellen, thanks for the revised list.

I call all pertaining to session two. I left two voice messages and was
able to discuss with the other five parents and nate.

I informed all that they will be receiving an email from Mary Jo
encouraging them to register for the national convention. I also suggested
that both parents register and provided the deadline of Monday, June 15.

The five I was able to talk to were thankful for the program and
thankful for the introductory call provided this morning.

I provided to each the NFBNJ BELL Academy Team person that will contact
them to develop a schedule once the session begins. Note, probably best to
call during the week of June 15.

After each name, I provided my comments.

    Joe
