This is where you’ll find announcements about changes to our service or new

Priority Connect.

On December 6 we launched Priority Connect, a service delivery model to
address the specific needs of Aira Explorers and Aira Access Partners at
times when call volume is above historical or predicted levels.

Aira’s mission is to remove barriers and make the world more accessible by
providing universal, world-class visual interpreting to the blind and low
vision community.

We’ll need your email to contact you should your account be drawn. To
assure we have your current email address, in the iOS app, go to the “More”
tab on the home screen. In the Android app, go to the Navigation drawer.
Tap on Profile and enter your current email if not already listed.
ACCESS Network. Texas Workforce Commission

We’re proud to announce that all offices of the Texas Workforce Commission
are now Aira Access Network locations. When visiting any of these offices
Aira is free to use for navigation, reading, computer tasks and more.
State of Connecticut

Anyone livig in the state of Connecticut can use Aira free during an
18-month trial period. Our agents can be used for public transportation,
including ride share, assistance and essential tasks. For people commuting
to CT for work or pleasure, all CTRide stations for bus, rail and ferry are
Aira Access locations. This means you can connect with an agent, free,
while in the station and ahead of time to plan your trip.

Metro Transit Minneapolis/St. Paul.

Blind and low vision people in the Minneapolis/St. Paul, Minnesota area can
use Aira free to plan trips and navigate Metro Transit. You can use Aira
from home to your destination once off the bus.

This program is a trial and will end in March, 2022. Show your support for
Aira on Metro Transit by tagging us in your social media. @airaio and
@MetroTransitMN.

Where do you agent from?

“I am agenting from right outside the Nation’s Capital in Northern
Virginia.”

What’s your favorite type of call to take?

“As a trained teacher, I love any calls with children. Whether that is
playing a game and reading the cards at play, reading homework
instructions, or just parents looking for descriptions or photos about what
their children are doing - those are the calls that warm my heart! As a
child of two blind parents, I do sometimes wonder how Aira could have been
a part of my childhood.”

What is a fun fact about you?

“My pinkies have a little pizazz to them as both of my pinkies are angled
in towards my other fingers about 45 degrees. While it would be cool for
this to be unique to me, my mom and her side of the family have it so there
is no denying the relationships.”

What do you love about being an Aira agent?

“I love getting to meet and talk with so many different people from all
over and feel like you are making a difference in their day to day lives.
It is also exciting to never know what you will be doing from day to day!
Just like a line from one of my favorite movies, Forest Gump ‘life is like
a box of chocolate, you never know what you’re going to get’.”

Do you have any pets?

“I do not have any pets at the moment. I did have magnetic fish when I was
younger if those count?!”
