Hello everyone,

As I mentioned in our last meeting, we are currently recruiting a
Ph.D.-level researcher to join our team at the National Research & Training
Center on Blindness & Low Vision (NRTC). Our ideal candidate will have a
background in blindness/low vision, experience with this population as a
direct service provider or researcher, and a passion for this field.



We have two positions posted, one for a Postdoctoral Associate (for a
recent graduate with limited research experience) and one for a Research
Scientist I, II, III, or Senior (for a professional with a few to many
years of research experience). Both job descriptions are attached. For a
candidate interested in a faculty teaching position, there may be an
opportunity for a joint appointment (part-time NRTC and part-time teaching
for Mississippi State University). We plan to hire one person – either a
Postdoctoral Associate or a Research Scientist – to join our team of
researchers.



The NRTC has been conducting research focused on improving employment
outcomes for people who are blind or have low vision since 1981. We receive
federal funding for this purpose and are currently conducting six large
research projects. Information about the projects is available on our

pursue other research topics and projects will be available.
