There is no link, or mailto address provided. I want to forward to our job-listings list but people won’t know where to apply, and replying might not work.
Dave

Subject: [NFBofNC-Discussion] Accessibility Tester – Screen Reader Specialist (1099 Independent Contractor)
Act With Insight (AWI) is a HUB-certified digital accessibility testing firm seeking experienced accessibility testers who are daily screen reader users (JAWS, NVDA, or VoiceOver) to join our contractor roster for an ongoing enterprise-scale testing engagement.
What you’d be doing:
• Manual accessibility testing of websites, PDFs, and presentation documents against WCAG 2.2 AA
• Testing with your own assistive technology setup
• Documenting findings in a structured report template we provide
• Working independently on your own schedule against agreed deliverable deadlines
Who we’re looking for:
• Blind or low-vision, daily assistive technology user
• Prior professional experience in accessibility/AT testing
• Working knowledge of WCAG 2.2 success criteria
• Comfortable testing and documenting independently, remote
• US-based (required for this engagement)
• Nice to have: IAAP certification (CPACC/WAS), DHS Trusted Tester certification, familiarity with Level Access AMP or Deque axe DevTools
How this works: This is 1099 independent contractor work, paid per completed test deliverable — not hourly, not on a fixed schedule. You set your own hours and testing process; we provide scope, files, and a reporting template. New contractors start with a short paid calibration assignment before joining the ongoing roster.
To apply: Reply with your resume or LinkedIn profile, your primary AT setup (tool + version), and a brief description of your accessibility testing background.
