I'm a sighted parent of blind children and while I cannot answer your question directly I expect that Nancy Irwin can. I don't know if she is on this list, so if you do not get your answer, please email me if you want me to connect you to Nancy. Additionally there is National Association of Blind Students (NABS) and South Carolina Association of Blind Students (SCABS). You can find both on FB and elsewhere. My son is Matthew Duffell-Hoffman, but I doubt he knows the answer to your question. Jennifer

The National Federation of the Blind knows that blindness is not the characteristic that defines you or your future. Every day we raise the expectations of blind people, because low expectations create obstacles between blind people and our dreams. You can have the life you want; blindness is not what holds you back.

Hi,
I'm not sure if I'm reaching out to the right place for this but if not, I figure someone here could point me in the right direction.I'm an online student studying Psychology and recently, in one of my courses, we had to select the correctly formatted APA citation from the multiple choice options. Is there a way to independently identify italics and other formatting without needing to get sighted assistance? I had someone help me narrow down my options by telling them what I was looking for but I want to be able to figure this out on my own for future reference. If it helps, I use JAWS and this was in Chrome. I tried using the font command with JAWS (JAWS Key+F) but that did not provide any useful information. I know text analyzer only functions in edit fields, from what I've read and trying to use it myself on web-pages. I tried to use Skim Reading but I'm not sure I set up the rules I wanted correctly because it did not find what I was looking for. Well, it did, but not narrowed down to the solitary choice I was trying to select. Thanks for any responses/suggestions.Christina_______________________________________________
