Subject: Fwd: Computers for the Blind Discount and Sale

   Hi All,
A while ago I published a post about a great company, Computers for
the Blind [1], that was refurbishing computers for people who were
blind or visually impaired and couldn't afford a new computer. Please
read below to see the wonderful progress they're making and an even
more affordable option.
Best wishes for Happy Holidays, Ed

   Greetings!
The goal of Computers for the Blind is to provide affordable,
accessible refurbished computers and training. We want to make sure
that all have access to technology and are confident in using it. Our
laptops and desktops are an affordable way for individuals with visual
impairments to begin their journey with technology. We provide a
one-year license to JAWS or ZoomText with every computer, as well as a
year of tech-support.
We are pleased to announce that we have received grants that lower
the cost of our computers even more. This is possible with the
generous funding from the Communities Foundation of Texas. For
eligible recipients, this grant provides a discount of $75 off our
base prices. This applies to both desktops and laptops.
Also, we would like to announce our End of Year Sale! Until December
15th, one of our selected upgrades can be added for free. The upgrades
include the following: Touchscreen upgrade for laptop, webcam upgrade
for desktop, or a wireless keyboard/mouse combo. Please see the
attached flyer for more details and restrictions. This is a great way
to get a computer and an upgrade that makes it easier to use.
We ask that you share the details of our discounts and sale with any
individuals that will benefit from using a computer! With your help we
can reach those with visual impairments who need access to technology,
but are otherwise restricted by the high costs. We also provide an
“Introduction to JAWS” training class, and we also have
partnerships with organizations such as World Services for the Blind
to offer other training opportunities, so that we can help anyone who
needs help getting started. Feel free to share our Pricing Guide, as
well as our Sale flyer to any other organizations or individuals who
could benefit.
Don’t hesitate to reply with any questions or comments that you
may have! Also, our Customer Service Representatives are always ready
to answer questions or help with computer orders. They can be reached
at (214) 340-6328 option 1.
We wish you a great Holiday Season!
  Thanks!
