I know there are blind people who crochet.
We have a division called NFB-Krafters, and they have an email list, like this one. They support each other, and conduct various classes via phone or email or Zoom and do all kinds of things.
You can subscribe by sending email to nfb-krafters-korner-subscribe at nfbnet.org and leave everything blank.

Subject: [NFBP-Talk] QUESTION
HI ALL,
I’M RELATIVELY NEW TO THIS GROUP, AND NOT GEEKY ENOUGH TO REMEMBER HOW TO POST ANYTHING.
MY ACUITY HAS FLUCTUATED SINCE BIRTH (I’LL ADMIT TO BEING IN MY “MID-50’S”) BUT HAS BEEN SLOWLY/STEADILY BEEN DECLINING FOR ABOUT A DECADE BECAUSE NEARSIGHTEDNESS HAS CREATED OTHER ISSUES WHICH ARE CAUSING THE STRUCTURE OF MY EYES TO DETERIORATE.
I HAVE BEEN CROCHETING SINCE I WAS A LITTLE GIRL, BUT AM NOT SURE HOW MUCH LONGER I’LL BE ABLE TO DO IT.
DOES ANYONE HAVE ANY HOBBIES I MIGHT BE ABLE TO ENJOY AS MY SIGHT FAILS?
THANK YOU,
RUTH REYNOLDS
