The Department of Human Resources (DHR) is seeking an experienced, results-oriented, self-starter for an Investigator (Diversity & Inclusion Manager II) position. The Investigator will help promote accountability for diversity, equity, and inclusion by processing complaints and performing complex investigations of allegations of discrimination, harassment, retaliation issues, and unfair practices. This work will be completed in a thorough, efficient, and professional manner in partnership with human resources managers and in collaboration with the Office of Equity and Social Justice. This is an exciting opportunity as King County is intentionally leading with racial justice to confront the historically systemic racial inequities that continue to exist in our community and our organization. This position will report to the Workforce Equity Manager.

The ideal candidate will be passionate about, and possess a strong commitment to diversity, equity and inclusion, with a demonstrated history of establishing best practices that work to confront and dismantle systemic discriminatory practices and behaviors.

Work Schedule
The typical work week is 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday. This position is exempt from the provisions of the Fair Labor Standards Act and is not eligible for overtime pay.
