Subject: June 15-25: Events at Lumen Field will affect services and
ridership levels

Good evening accessibility community,

This message is for 1 Line and Sounder passengers.

The 2025 FIFA Club World Cup will bring six matches to Lumen Field between
June 15 and June 25, marking the first time the U.S. will host the
tournament. With up to 150,000 visitors expected over ten days, Sound
Transit anticipates a surge in ridership, particularly on the 1 Line. In
light of this, regular commuters should prepare for crowded trains. To
accommodate demand, weekday Sounder schedules will be adjusted, and extra
trips will be added as needed on select Sound Transit Express routes to
enhance service.

Due to this international tournament, riders will need to plan for trips
taking extra time as we manage services to support ridership.

Here are the dates and start times of the FIFA Club World Cup 2025 matches
at Lumen Field:

*	Sunday, June 15 at 7 p.m. - Sounders FC vs. Botafogo (BRA)
*	Tuesday, June 17 at 12 p.m. - River Plate (ARG) vs. Urawa (JPN)
*	Thursday, June 19 at 3 p.m. - Sounders FC vs. Atletico de Madrid
(SPA)
*	Saturday, June 21 at 12 p.m. - Inter Milan (ITA) vs. Urawa (JPN)
*	Monday, June 23 at 12 p.m. - Sounders FC vs. Paris Saint-Germain
(FRA)
*	Wednesday, June 25 at 6 p.m. - Inter Milan (ITA) vs. River Plate
(ARG)

on the individual event dates under Club World Cup Event Service.

1 Line and Sounder passengers should anticipate crowds comparable to those
for Seahawks games. Security and other personnel will support pre- and
post-match crowd flow at the following stations: International
District/Chinatown, Pioneer Square, Stadium, and SODO, as well on Weller
Street Bridge.

Beginning 2 hours before each match, there will also be fan-oriented
activities on the International District/Chinatown Station plaza, including
a DJ playing amplified music. Sound Transit is partnering with the
Chinatown-International District Business Improvement Area and the Alliance
for Pioneer Square to host booths before all six games (and also after the
four daytime games) at International District/Chinatown Station as well as
in Occidental Park near Pioneer Square Station, providing information, help
with wayfinding, and surprises. Read the May 29 Platform blog post to learn
more

cer-tournament> .

As a reminder, at International District/Chinatown Station, the elevator at
the south end (Exit B) of the northbound (Lynnwood) platform is closed for
modernization through September. Additionally, we have closed both
escalators at Exit A (north end of both platforms) for modernization.

Passengers who need assistance navigating a station can request help from
Sound Transit personnel on the platform or call or text Security at (206)
398-5268.

Visit the Service alerts web page

or email.

Best regards,
