Please join us for some Holiday fun!

 

Winter is right around the corner. You can feel it, can't you?  A holiday
season like no other is bearing down on us, and we cannot gather and share
laughter and good times in the ways we normally would.  At this time of
year, that is especially hard.  So . . . let's gather over Zoom for some
laughs, and while we are at it, we can assist the Potomac Chapter of the
National Federation of the Blind of Virginia with our advocacy, public
outreach, and legislative efforts toward ensuring that all blind people can
live the lives they want. Put the date in your various calendars, and use
the link below to part with ten bucks  for your  Zoom link to the fun on
December 11, 2020, 8:00 PM Eastern.  Please spread the word far and wide,
and please be mindful that this is a fund-raiser and we would appreciate it
if there are five people  participating with you, please change the quantity
to reflect that. The participation link will be provided to you shortly
before the event. If the below link does not work here, please copy and
paste it into your browser. Please provide the name and number that you
intend to use when you call in, so that we can avoid comedy crashers.

              Moody McCarthy is a stand-up comedian who has performed on
Jimmy Kimmel Live, Conan, and the Letterman Show.  He lives in New York City
with his wife and two wee lasses.

              Moody has performed at the best clubs in the land and can be
heard on SiriusXM.  He's also been featured on America's Got Talent and Last
Comic Standing, but gets asked most about his "House Hunters" episode.

Moody was born "Matthew" into a big Irish family where - by law - someone
gets a nickname.  He began doing comedy in Syracuse, NY in the 1900s, and
covered sports on the top local radio show before moving to New York City.

Moody's material is described as original but universal, and smart without
being trite.  Couple that with a disarming stage presence & in-the-moment
chops, you'll see why he's earned the admiration of his peers for his
ability to "go up cold".  Corporate events, fundraisers, private shows - you
name it, this versatile performer will brighten any event.
