We need you at our 2021 NFB of Virginia convention.

The NFB of Virginia is a powerful force when we come together to achieve
results. At our convention, you will learn:

*	National Progress: In the national representative's report from
Denise Avant, you will receive an update on our legislative, legal advocacy,
membership/community building, and educational work from across the country.

*	Within virginia - In my Presidential Report, I will highlight
accomplishments we have achieved together through our work in our chapters,
at the affiliate level and in the General Assembly.
*	Shape our policies through Resolutions - Our organizations policies
are set by our convention. If you are a member who registers by October 18,
you can vote on the resolutions that are our policy statements. Should be
working on voting, educational resources, barriers to access, employment, or
other areas
*	Submit a resolution- Maybe you have a problem we could address
together through collective action. Please send us an idea by emailing
resolutions at nfbv.org <mailto:resolutions at nfbv.org> and we can help you
draft a great resolution. We ask for your ideas by October 15 so act today.
*	Speak to the Virginia Department for the Blind and Vision Impaired -
The leadership of our state agency will be available on Wednesday (10/27)
to share their progress and take your questions. We are grateful that DBVI
is eager to take public comment and open to answering our questions.
*	Our Personal Stories - Throughout the convention, you will hear the
personal stories from our members. Learn, grow and be inspired by how our
community is coming together to make a real difference.

This is just a small subset of the valuable programming to be included in
sessions run between Sunday October 24 and Sunday, October 31.

The National Federation of the Blind of Virginia convention combines
excellent networking with positive blind role models, fellowship with old
and new friends across the Commonwealth, and some of the best presentations
on topics important to the blind of Virginia

Don't wait, register today. Registration for our virtual convention is free
and will only take a few minutes. By registering, you will be informed of
convention events, will be eligible for door prizes, and will make you
eligible for our registration drawing if completed by October 18.
