OUR MISSION

One Heart One Vision is a 501C3 charitable organization  that provides support and services to women who are blind from underserved communities.  One Heart One Vision is owned and operated by blind women who are committed to fighting the marginalization of blind women by providing free programs and resources. We cultivate a blind women’s ambition  to be empowered, while striving for social justice.

OUR PHILOSOPHY

The ladies of One Heart One Vision are devoted to turning blind women’s dream[s into reality.  We believe that just because you’re blind doesn’t mean that you can’t have vision.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

What programs and services does this organization provide?

We provide several free programs for blind women.  We offer a financial empowerment program, a benefit advisement program ,blindness consultation and a work readiness/employment program.  We also provide information and referrals to other city agencies for further assistance.

Do you provide any additional support for blind women?

Of course we do.  One Heart One Vision offers several support groups, which are especially tailored for the new millennial blind woman.  We have our peer-facilitated  OHOV Vixens  Women Empowerment Group, The New To Blindness Forum, The Fit, Fab & Focused Health & Wellness Group and The Survivor’s Circle Domestic Violence Empowerment group.  We also offer workshops, which are solely girl power focused.  We also host community service events and have a  monthly Literacy Is Free Education (LIFE) Book Club, which is 100% accessible for the blind.

Where are you located?

One Heart One Vision’s base of operation is located in Brooklyn, N.Y.  Due to the pandemic, all of our  services and programs are offered virtually.

*	Attendees will learn how to shop and look at price tags and vital information with a smaller screen magnifier
*	We will discuss the difference between sleep mode and turning the unit on and off
