The National Federation of the Blind of Virginia, in partnership with

cordially invite you to a hands on training with the Job Access with Speech

reader. This seminar will be a part of activities at this year's 64th annual
state convention. Join Vispero trainers Elizabeth Whitaker and Rachel
Buchanan and Allied Instructional Services Assistive Technology instructor
Mike Fish for this interactive training.
Are you looking for ways to tame the shark and gain a better understanding
of JAWS? Want to read/edit documents and search your favorite websites like
a pro? Join Vispero trainers and assistive technology instructors for an
introduction to JAWS. We'll dive into document navigation, harness JAWS
help, and work the web with ease.
Participants will receive:
* Access to training resources
* Training from instructors who use the software and can relate to their
training needs
* In-person interactive training
* A conceptual overview of how to perform tasks both in and outside the
classroom
* The opportunity to learn tasks, then try them with instructors who are
on-hand to answer questions
Through a partnership with the National Organization of Parents of Blind
Children (NOPBC), students/parents will receive an Annual JAWS license for
only $12. Parents must register with NOPBC in order to take advantage of
this steep discount.
Registration: Participants who register by 10/10 will be asked for a nominal
registration fee of $30. This registration fee would cover the cost of the
seminar as well as meal functions as part of the state convention should
participants choose to remain for the rest of the programming. Please
complete the <https://nfbv.org/registration> in person registration form.
