Primary Function


As a Senior DevOps Engineer at Vispero, you will be an integral part of our
software engineering team, focusing on deploying, automating, maintaining,
and managing AWS cloud-based production systems. You will ensure the
availability, performance, scalability, and security of our applications.


Scope of Work


The duties listed below are intended only as illustrations of the various
types of work that may be performed. The omission of specific statements of

*	Cloud Management: Deploy, automate, and manage AWS cloud-based
production systems. Ensure the cloud infrastructure aligns with our
security, reliability, and scalability needs.
*	CI/CD Pipelines: Build and maintain continuous integration and
continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines, ensuring rapid and reliable
deployment of applications.
*	Monitoring and Performance: Implement and manage monitoring
solutions to identify and resolve infrastructure problems before they affect
critical processes.
*	Automation: Automate system provisioning, configuration, and scaling
to improve efficiency and reduce human intervention.
*	Collaboration: Work closely with development teams to integrate
their projects into the production AWS environment and ensure their ongoing
support.
*	Security: Implement and manage security policies and procedures,
ensuring compliance with industry standards and protection of sensitive
data.
*	Troubleshooting and Support: Provide advanced level troubleshooting
support, resolving issues related to the infrastructure, software, and
network.
*	Documentation: Maintain accurate documentation for system
configurations, procedures, and service records.


Required Knowledge/Skills/Abilities


*	Bachelor's degree in computer science, Engineering, or related
field.
*	5+ years of experience as a DevOps Engineer, preferably with a focus
on AWS environments.
*	Strong experience with Linux web technologies, including NGINX.
*	Strong experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
*	Experience deploying .NET Core web solutions to Linux Docker
containers and Kubernetes.
*	Strong experience with AWS services, including EKS, EC2, S3, RDS,
ELB, IAM, CloudFormation, and others.
*	Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform. .
Knowledge of microservices architecture and distributed systems.
*	Knowledge of version control systems (e.g., Git) and collaboration
tools.
*	Experience in building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines.
*	Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash).
*	Proficiency with monitoring tools (e.g., CloudWatch, Prometheus,
AppDynamics).
*	Experience with backup and restoration procedures of various systems
including SQL Server and strong understanding of network protocols, routing,
and security practices.
*	Experience with AWS Marketplace a plus.
*	Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under
pressure.

The typical salary range for this position is USD $140,000 - $150,000 based
on experience and geographic location. This position is remote.
