Subject: Some Chapter State Convention Activities

 

 

Here is a fairly comprehensive list of local chapters  responsibilities for
the upcoming state convention.  There may be more and some may disappear. 

 

 

Door prizes - need a person to collect the prizes and people to call names
in run prizes.

 

Labeling soda machines - probably not doing unless someone wants to Braille
all labels and put them on the machines.

 

Arranging transportation from airport for national representative - chapter
if desired by rep

 

Child care

 

Hospitality - chapter and or other local chapters

 

Talking Signs/marshals - chapter and other local chapters

 

Braille and large print menus - chapter

 

Music for pre-banquet reception - chapters if desired.

 

Saturday evening banquet marshals - chapters Includes working the door to
insure only ticketed persons are let in

 

Opening ceremony - chapters

 

Singers/entertainment, color guard, politician, possibly hotel manager,
National Anthem singer, and pledge of allegiance.

 

Invocations Friday  morning, Saturday morning, banquet and Sunday morning.
