Good afternoon, I’ve been reading this thread off, and on. The way I avoid this is the airline people seem to have this belief that for some reason a straight cane as somehow some sort of missile and/or a threat, thanks to complete and total ignorance at times about the life really does say. I keep a telescoping cane with me which alleviates the need for this drama. I guess what I’m gently suggesting is if one can take two canes along a straight one, and a telescopic and/or collapsible one that you can have it your seat and/or strapped in the deceit with you, so that no matter what they say, and no matter what they do, you remain in control of your own mobility. This is just my two cents worth. Hopefully this is helpful advice? And if anyone dislikes it one knows what key on the keyboard is useful. Or can offer constructive criticism.
Sincerely Maurice mines.
