This sounds like a Microsoft issue than an issue with the access technology.

Thank you Eileen, I checked the mute button and I checked the volume everything is on I do hear the dings on occasion so I deathly know that the speakers are working. Narrator is a Knogo

Can you have some one check what the volume settings are? I have had, on my desktop, on occasion the volume gets set down to 0. Can you try running Narrator on the laptop? The sound runs through the system card unlike Jaws or NVDA which goes out through the speakers.

hi, I recently installed office 365 on my personal laptop. It really has not been working proficiently and now my jaws Will not turn on no matter what I do, I am at a total loss, I do know the computer is on, I can see it and the windows do change if I Altaba but there’s no way I can get the jaws on even went into the context menu and nothing happened, any advice would be appreciated
