Hi Tracy,
This is Lori.
If your email is on your computer, you would open the email and with your iPhone you could say hey Siri open code scanner and it will look for the QR code to scan.
If that doesn’t work, you can open your iPhone and go to your control center if you have added the Code scanner item there. Pointer phone at your computer screen and the camera app in code scanner mode will be looking for the QR code.
I do not have a phone with an E Sim, but my husband does as most of the newer iPhones do not physically have a Sim card anymore. He got it set up at the Verizon store but it does sound as though it’s relatively easy to do Some instructions from the provider. I’m sure you would be also able to get phone support to complete the task from the provider.
With the Sim card, as it was previously stated you need to know where the Sim card tray is and put it in correctly, etc. This in addition to probably some additional set up on your account either done by you or the provider.
Also, consider I do not believe but I am not sure that you can use your old Sim card from a previous provider. A new provider would want to send you a new one.
I hope this helps a little.
Good luck!
Lori

Do I just take a picture of it with my phone camera? Or is there a special place I have to go to capture QR codes? And, once I’ve got it, do I just tap it to execute whatever it’s supposed to do?
