Good to see you checking in. I am glad to hear that you are wanting to become more involved. You may want to send an email to the NFB of Ohio email list and ask if anyone needs a roommate for National Convention.
I think you may have missed the deadline to apply for a National Convention scholarship, but you do have time to apply for a state convention scholarship if you are interested. I believe the deadline for state convention scholarships is in May.

Hi,

Long time no see, I know. I have decided that coming out of the woodwork is something that I am now in a better position to do, so you will probably be seeing more of me in the upcoming months.
I don't know anything about fundraiser ideas, but I do know that I am trying to go to national convention this year. I haven't found a roommate yet, however, and i'm not comfortable going by myself with those hotel prices. If I do wind up going, I would be more than willing to help at a table if one is set up, or however you guys organize the fundraiser.

We can print out sheets in large print and Braille with info about our Rada Cutlery fundraiser and how people can order online.

We had our monthly OAGDU meeting tonight.  We were discussing fundraisers and the Ohio affiliate plans to have a table at national convention this year.  I think something was said about allowing chapters to sell things at the table.  I know some of us plan to go to convention.  Do people think OAGDU should sell something at the convention?  If so, what are some suggestions?  We will discuss this further at the next meeting on May 8, but thought we would throw it out there for input before the meeting.
