“We have a God we can come back to,” says Dr. J. Vernon McGee. God always makes a way. We see that in the life of Abraham this week. Get insight into how to trust God—even in the middle of conflict, betrayal, and disappointment. This week’s journey on the Bible Bus is available on your local station, podcast, or right here ... right now.

Genesis 12:13—14:11

You can never be too far gone to come back to God. That’s what we’ll find out as we continue to travel in footsteps of Abraham (Abram). Together we’ll see the undoing of his relationship with Lot and learn how to trust God in difficult circumstances. (Airs May 10, 2021)

Genesis 14:12—15:6

The Bible Bus is headed to what may seem like the wild west. In this study, we’ll witness a kidnapping (of Lot), a chase through the wilderness, and meet a stranger who comes out of nowhere to serve the good guys bread and wine. (And later? We find out that stranger is Jesus!) Want to know more? Hop aboard. (Airs May 11, 2021)

Genesis 15:6—16:5

Grace comes through faith. That’s the important message we’ll hear from Dr. McGee as we make our way through the pages of Genesis and see that even though God confirms His covenant to Abraham, Sarah and Abraham lose faith and choose Hagar to bear a child. (Airs May 12, 2021)

Genesis 16:6—17:7

Just when things look impossible, God makes a way. That’s what we’ll see in this study of Genesis. Learn more about Abraham’s story of disobedience (and the birth of his illegitimate child, Ishmael) and God’s faithfulness in giving Him a son through Sarah when he’s 100 years old. Genesis 17:8—18:8

Throughout Genesis we see over and over that when God makes a promise, He sticks to it. In this study, we’re reminded of the details surrounding His covenant with Abraham, see Abraham plead on Ishmael’s (his illegitimate son) behalf, and hear God promise to bless Ishmael and give him a multitude of descendants. Sunday Sermon: The Next Happening in the Program of God

(1 Thessalonians 4:13-18; 2 Corinthians 5:1-8) God is following a plan. This truth is revealed in the numerous prophecies recorded in the Scriptures. Most have already been fulfilled, but there are still many waiting for the day of their fulfillment, particularly those dealing with the Second Coming of Christ. (Airs May 16, 2021)

When Jesus Christ saved you, He made you a new creature in Christ Jesus.

But sometimes it doesn’t feel like it.

The old nature was in control for so long that it wants what it always has gotten—its own way.

Here’s a radical thought: Just saying you want to live for Christ won't get you anywhere. Your relationship with God is not a do-it-yourself kit.

You need Jesus.

Dr. McGee’s practical study of Romans 8 shows you how to turn your life over to His Spirit and let Jesus do for you what you can’t do for yourself.
