Not About Stuff
When you are nearing the end of life’s journey–and you look back over the years and think about what you accomplished and what you wish you had–it becomes crystal clear what really matters most. It’s not important how fancy your house was, what kind of cars you drove, how prestigious your job or how much money you had in the bank. Bottom line–it’s not about ‘stuff!’ When you’re young–you think you’ve got your whole life in front of you and there’s no sense of urgency about the importance of how you spend your time. But make no mistake–life is short and before you know it–you will blink and now you’re the one looking back wondering how life went by so quickly. The only way to ensure peace and satisfaction at the end of your life–is to have lived your life surrendered to God. When you allow the Holy Spirit to lead and guide your every step–your heart will be filled with joy and peace such as you’ve never known. There’s no better place to be than following God’s plan for your life for He knows your wants, dreams and desires even more than you do. The Bible says in Jeremiah 29:11, “For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the LORD, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.” It just doesn’t get better than that! Make sure your future is secure by giving God control of your life starting today because everlasting joy is all about trusting Jesus . . . and “not about stuff!” Text: Hebrews 10:36, 1 Timothy 2:2-4, Psalm 119:105, James 1:5

Bible Texts:
Hebrews 10:36 NKJV - For you have need of endurance, so that after you have done the will of God, you may receive the promise:

1 Timothy 2:2-4 NKJV - for kings and all who are in authority, that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and reverence. For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Savior, who desires all men to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth.

Psalm 119:105 NKJV - NUN. Your word is a lamp to my feet And a light to my path.

James 1:5 NKJV - If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him.
