I agree that we need to try to keep up with contemporary thinking in and
beyond the NFB. This is why I always urge people actually to read the
Braille Monitor. Now that I am no longer editing it, it is not self-interest
for me to plead with people to read it every month. It really does move us
forward in our thinking. April has an interesting piece on disability and
euthanasia. That is just one article.

Barbara,
As you stated that Dr. Jernigan preferred the disability in front of the
noun as being comfortable. Then, I can understand that. The reason why I
suggested this, was that politically correct is to say the person before the
blindness. Therefore, perhaps maybe we do need more history behind what the
Federation want us to do and wants us to say.
