Hello Wanda and All,
I am going to let this up to Eric because obviously you do not understand or do not choose to understand.
I do not care how many people are helping with the event.
You cannot as an individual sponsor an event and say you are raising money for a Chapter or Division of the NFB of Ohio.
This is totally against the rules which guide our National State and Local organizations.
No member can take it upon themselves to get others to work on a fun-raising Project saying that it is sponsored by the Federation at any level.
This has never been and will never be appropriate.
We need to have Chapter or Division approval.
Proceeds would go to the Chapter or Division after expenses. There would need to be a Paper Trail.
We would not cosponsor something with another organization unless we approved of this ahead of time and it met all of our 501c3 Requirements.
No individual would ever receive any money from the fund-raiser.
If you read our NFB Constitution it is right there.
NFB cannot have xs' name linked with this event in any way.
Colleen Roth
