Minutes DAN Conference Call-April 19, 2017

This meeting was called to order by DAN President-Paul Jordan. Others on the
line was The National DAN President-Burnett Jacobs, OH. NFB State
President-Richard Payne, Board Member-Karen Warner, Secretary-Wanda M.
Sloan, Treasurer-C. Roth, Vice President-Susan Day, Gloria Robinson, Walter
Mitchell,

Richard explained to the group and Bernadette Jacobs about the stressful
circumstances of the OH DAN and how in November of 2016 at the DAN Board
Meeting, we decided to reconstruct the organization and move forward.  

Due to illness and other family issues with the officers, this is the first
official meeting since the Board meeting in 2016.

-If you or if you have money for the DAN, please turn that funding in.

-The treasurer report was given of $533.00 which was properly moved and
seconded to accept.

 

There was some discussion about the Stylist Pens.  Because of the
uncertainty of the phone number on the pen, we decided not to sell them.

-Bernadette Jacobs spoke about the lack of ADA ruling on the availability of
blood sugar products for the blind. The Prodigy is the only talking blood
sugar meter that is Manufactured now.

The Blood Sugar Strips are sold at a reasonable price now.  They can be
purchased for about $6.00, depending on your insurance.
