Greetings Federation family. I hope this message finds you are home, or at work, and safe.
I first would like to say thank you to those of you who participated during this years national convention performing arts division of vents. It's quite clear that we could not have done this without you. We realize that there are many things to do and meetings to attend, and we very much appreciate you taking a few moments to share with us. I also need to thank our leadership team. It certainly wouldn't have been possible without all of you. There has been a tremendous outpouring of positive energy and feedback about the week, and I'm so happy to have some extraordinary people on this team.
Additionally, we had a new member added to our leadership team this past week, and I'm looking for some awesome things from you madam secretary. I love your energy and your passion for changing what it means to be blind.
To close this short note, I want to personally thank all of the members, those I was able to spend time with, and those who I didn't have a chance to sit down with. As you know, convention pools us in many different directions at the same time not always allowing for long conversations.
It is my most sincere hope that I was able to share a little bit of my time with those who wanted it. If not, please feel free to contact me directly. My contact information can be found at the bottom of most of my emails, as well as at nfbpad.org. Please feel free, I have an open door policy. Any questions, at any time.
I look forward to this journey of continuing to build the Federation, and I'm so happy you're here to share it with us.
In closing, I am so grateful to have spent a week with some of the most extraordinary people on the planet, record holders even. Please watch our list serves and check our website for updated information about this past convention, and general membership meetings that will be held starting in the fall of 2015.
It is with love and positive thoughts I send this message to you my Federation family.
