The National Federation of the Blind has written much about literacy for
blind children, especially Braille literacy.  If you browse our Web site

I also recommend that you speak to Julie Durando who recently received
her PhD based upon her original research and work in early literacy for
blind children.  She collaborated with the National Federation of the
Blind to use subjects from our early literacy program--the Braille

	I am doing a research paper on reading instruction and literacy
of blind children.  I am looking for articles on this subject that are
concerned with children ages from birth to age 8.
