The Click Rule and Metric Click Rule are tactile and auditory measuring
devices designed for individuals who are blind or have low vision. They
allow for quick measurements of wood and tool setups as well as for general
use The Click Rule measures up to 12 inches and is accurate to 1/16 of an
inch. It measures outside and inside dimensions as well as depths of holes
3/8 inches in diameter and larger. The Metric Click Rule measures up to 20
millimeters with accurate measurements of one millimeter. The Click rule
comes with three extensions allowing measurements up to four feet, and the
Metric Click Rule comes with four extensions allowing measurement up to one
meter. It is made from quality material and is plated to prevent rust.
OPTIONS: Additional extensions are available for either rule.

Please note that your daughter might need some practice reading 1/16 of an
inch tactually because it is very small.


Also, APH has a ruler to 1/8 of an inch available with federal Quota funds
(I'm sure you've already found it, but here it is:)
 Rulers: 1-Foot Braille

These molded plastic rulers are 12 inches long, 1 1/2 inches wide, an 1/4
inch thick in the center, and taper down to 1/16 inch on the reading edge. A
metal caliper slide to aid in accuracy is included (also available
separately).



Two versions are offered:

*Metric-English Measurement Ruler*: Metric edge has raised lines every
half-centimeter and braille numbers every two centimeters. Opposite English
edge has raised lines every 1/4 inch and braille numbers at each inch.



*English Measurement Ruler*: Has raised lines. Braille numbers at each inch.
Fourths on one edge, eighths on the other.


 Age Range: 5 and Up
