HI list, a former colleague who attended the same university program to pursue certification as a teacher of the blind and visually impaired, suggested posing my certification question to the nearest boces rather than contacting the New York state education department. My question is what does the acronym BOCES refer to? I appreciate clarification about this term. I live in New York City but do go to upstate New York occasionally in the summer months.
