don't think they will, someone wrote me a very formal message wishing
me good luck with my job and asking me to spread the info below.
Scholarships available for social changemakers: Do you carry a plan
for social change?
kanthari empowers social visionaries to become actual social change
makers. kanthari is an international institute that recognizes
leadership in those individuals, who come from the margins of society
and have overcome major adversities in their lives. At kanthari, we
focus on participants, who have a passion to create a better tomorrow
and have the strength to be forces of good rather than victims of
circumstance. Throughout our unique 7 month tailor-made training,
participants will experience hands-on what it takes to turn an idea
for social change into reality. They will be equipped with the skills
required to set up impactful projects and initiatives. Over the past 5
years we have trained and graduated 117 participants from 35
countries. As a result over 70 social projects are currently active
reaching thousands of beneficiaries. A kanthari is a small but very
spicy chili plant that grows wild in every backyard in Kerala and
confers a number of medicinal values. A kanthari is symbolic of those
who have the courage, passion, creativity and vision to challenge the
status quo and implement positive change. A kanthari represents a
motivated problem solver, someone who emerges from the margins of
society. All instruction at kanthari is in English, so a basic working
knowledge of the language is essential. Basic computer skills are also
required. Are you at least 22 years old and do you want to make a
difference? Then please read the FAQ on our website and apply via the
online application form. The next kanthari course starts in May.
 Apply now via www.kanthari.org
