Yes, it is what I am asking. If the problem is 242 - 163 would you have them use the cancellation marks around the numbers that need to be changed? It just seems like so much work. I have been blind all of my life but did not learn or use Nemeth code in school.

I typically only showed my students proper Nemeth code for borrowing so they could understand what is in the textbook. I never had them “cross out” anything using the proper Nemeth symbols when writing their problems. Is this what you are asking or am I missing the mark?
