The SensePlayer is a digital media player and portable OCR device designed by the HIMS division of SELVAS Healthcare. It is a small, lightweight device which can play digital books, music files, document files, DAISY content, FM radio, and can scan and recognize printed text and text image files with the built-in 13 megapixel camera and OCR software.

With built-in Wi-Fi, users can also search for and download books from accessible online libraries, listen to Web Radio streams, and subscribe to and download podcasts. SensePlayer also includes convenient features like a calculator, memo application, alarm clock, stopwatch, and sleep timer.

In addition, the SensePlayer contains a unique Smart Connect function that allows you to utilize its tactile keypad as a Bluetooth keyboard to operate your smartphone or tablet.

Firmware coming soon will also add a Mobile screen reader, and the ability to install and use applications such as Netflix, Apple Music, Spotify, and voice assistants for even more functionality. Though the SensePlayer is a powerful device with advanced features, it remains easy to use, even for the non-technical person, with many functions available with the press of a single button.
