Is the instant pot the same as a slow cooker?  And what is a coo coo pot?

Hi I am Dar
I have an instant pot, where I am wondering if any of you have had a problem trying to use the pressure cooking?
I find when you are in manual mode the pressure doesn't work.
I don't remember how I got it to work for potatoes.
I know I did them for 15 minutes.
I also put six eggs with that, killing two birds with one stone.
Then the count down button works.
Thanks for any help.
Also how can I read up on the coo coo pot.
