Important Information Concerning the 4th IBSA World Championships and Games
and the 2010 IBSA World Youth and Student Championships
 
This is a reminder that in 2011, the United States Association of Blind
Athletes (USABA) will participate in two International Blind Sports
Federation (IBSA) world multi-sport events: the 4th IBSA World Championships
and Games (Antalya, Turkey) and the 2011 IBSA World Youth and Student
Championships (Colorado Springs, Colorado, USABA will host).  
 
Presently we are seeking athletes who meet the requirements for both
competitions.  Please note, these are two separate and distinct competitions
being conducted at different times and at different venues.  Participant age
requirements also differ.
 
Listed below are brief summaries of both events with links to more detailed
information.  
 
Please feel free to disseminate this information to anyone you know may have
an interest in these competitions and contact USABA Sports Director John
Potts, jpotts at usaba.org, if you require additional information. 
 
4th IBSA World Championships and Games 

*	Dates:  April 1-10, 2011 

*	Location:  Antalya, Turkey 

*	Sports we will enter as Team USA: 


*	Athletics (Track and Field) 

*	Goalball (based on prior Paralympic qualification status) 

*	Judo 

*	Powerlifting 

*	Swimming 

*	Age Standards:  15 (as of  April 3, 2011) and older 

*	Qualification Standards: Anticipated from IBSA on/about September
20, 2010
