Hello everyone,

My name is Ann Petrous,and I'm from Farmington Hills Michigan. I thought to
join this list because I would like to get into some form of marshal arts,
and  learn more about how to keep in shape as a blind person. I'm not a huge
fan of sports or using a tredmill, however I would love to find ways of
staying active. Here is a bit about myself.

 

I graduated from Oakland University in Michigan with a  degree in
journalism. I attended my first NFB convention in 2008, and hoping to attend
this year. Growing up as a blind person, I was never encouraged to do
anything because no one knew how to teach me or wanted to take the time to
try. Since learning about the NFB, I know that I can do anything, if I just
put my mind to it. 

 

As I said before, I'm not a huge fan of sports, however I love watching WWE.
Lol   It helps to release any pent up energy. 

 

I'm looking forward to meeting new people, and learning as much as I can
