Subject: [Sportsandrec] yoga

  Hello all,
I'm in tenth grade this year. For my PE credit I am taking yoga.
The class is all year long. It is very fast paced, and we are learning new poses every week. My question, for any of you that have taken or are taking yoga, is how do you easily remember what each pose feels like? For me, it takes lots of repetition, but because we do new moves quickly, there isn't much time for that.
My teacher is wonderful, and does try to help me when she can, but she cannot always do that due to the fact that there are so many students in the class. I have a one on one aide who has been helping me get into the poses, but I would much rather prefer remembering them. What would you recommend based on your experiences? When you learned yoga, did you take a class, or did you go by an instructional video?
Thank you so much. I will be looking forward to your answers.
Vejas
