Hi Holly
It's not necessarily the organizers. It's probably the ones who will 
lead the workshop. It's not easy to find folks who will do such 
workshops for free or a fairly cheap price. Most of these people have 
never worked with blind people, so it's possible they can't imagine it. 
I'd advise you to go to the workshop leaders once you're there and talk 
to them personally. Often enough it's not that they can't imagine blind 
people learning certain skills. But they can't imagine teaching them to 
blind folks.
