Hay Joe,
That's the great thing about doing HIIT. You get a great workout in a fairly
short period and instead of feeling like you just got run over by a truck
you are stimulated and feeling good.
Its also great for keeping you hungry for the next workout. If you feel
beat up you eventually start to dred the next session. Since I cut back to
three workouts a week and streamlined what I was doing I am always excited
about my next workout...oh and I have gotten stronger and a bit leaner(in
spite of the fact that my nutrition is not great)
As someone who trained hardcore bodybuilding style for many years it was
hard to adapt to workouts that didn't leave me totally destroyed. Felt like
I hadn't done enough. But gradually the fact that I was getting in better
shape andwasn't putting in as much time and energy clicked in my brain.

Subject: [Sportsandrec] Interval training?

Hey friends,
I have begun interval training which seems to be in fashion lately. I
knocked out three rounds of high intensity interval training yesterday.
Volume pushups, a couple of pull lifts, and a couple push lifts were
included. I was pretty gassed between each round to the point I was
concerned with soreness as well as curious about finishing the workout. I
did. However, after probably ten to fifteen minutes I felt like I could have
burned through the entire thing again. Why?
It was really fun and I encourage people to try it.
Joe
