The ADA compels educational institutions to make accessible to people with
disabilities all information which is available
to the general student population. This information includes textbooks and
all information that reaches the student via the written word. For
handicapped students, these information sources must be adapted so that they
are accessable to each student in a form compatible with their handicap.
