Angela,
I'm a bit confused by this. I've always liked it best (out of forms
mode) for the description to appear above the edit box to which it
applies, not below. My experience with printed/Braille forms is that
the normal way is to have, for instance, "Name" at the beginning of the
line and the blank where you put it after. I always assumed that
everyone would prefer the description be before/above the field,.
Apparently from the way you describe it, my preference is at odds with
the standard expectations. Perhaps, someone can explain why having the
edit field first makes it more accessible?

My experience with the O mag web site was a bit different than yours,
but with the same net result, (I'm using Jaws 9 point something). In
forms mode, the descriptions appear with the edit box below where they
belonged for the most part -- e.g. the first edit field is unlabeled,
the box for the last name says "First Name" and the following box for
your age said "Last Name." Out of forms mode the beginning of the form
has the edit boxes above the descriptions, but then there are several
edit fields and combo boxes where multiple descriptions appear on a
given line. There is a section for alternate phone numbers which is
totally confusing. Then, the description for the comments section
appears above the edit field.

The other wierd thing is that, though I successfully sent my comments on
the review of "Blindness," I haven't been able to get one sent since
then -- I have been trying to send comments about the form itself.
Maybe that's just as well, if my idea of accessible is that far off base.

Donna
