Hello Everyone,
OVer the next few months I will be making some personal contacts about ideas I have for writing articles for S&S. I've seen some interesting discussions on the list and I think Brad you said something about doing copyright or knowing something about it. I've been wanting to contact you about this but don't have your email address but if you want to contact me off list send emal to qobells at roadruner.com and if anyoen else has draft ideas you want me to help with please feel free to contact me off list.
In the meantime here are soem ideas I have about topics.
Book reviews: Reviews of books on writing or perhaps well written fiction or nonfiction you've read. I've always thought it was appropriate to include book reviews in the magazine. If you have ideas about books to review or need to know more about how to do one let me know. I'll pass some tips along here and there on list.
Other topics include:
publishing experiences, publishing overviews or information about publishing. I know several of you have had books published later. Write an expose and submit it to the magazine. Remember there are others off list who can benefit from your expereinces.
agent experience
how to write a query letter
how to tell a great story (articles have been published on this recently and we can always use more)
what makes your creative mind tick
how to improve sensory experiences in your writing
current trends in writing
blogging
journals online and how you write them
writing to a specific audience
Let me know what you think and Happy Writing!
And always feel free to use the phone number below to leave ideas or ask questions. I'll be happy to call back with responses. I may be out and about, I'll call you from whereever I am.
