The hardest thing about windows 7 is the virtual ribbons. I forgot how to
do it, but you can set it so JAWS works them more like the old menus. Oh,
and the library is really different in windows explorer, though once you get
used to it, it is really nice.

Subject: [stylist] Update & OT computer question

Hi Friends,

Just wanted to let you all know that I will be a bit indisposed starting
later this week. I finally bought a new computer, and have to not only do a
lot of re-loading of files and programs, but I have to learn Windows 7 and
Office 2010. Hopefully, it will be better than using a 6-year-old machine
where the desktop routinely disappears. We tried several fixes with no
improvement, and I'm hoping this is the last of it.

Therein lies my question. For those of you using Jaws, what was your biggest
headache/happy surprise or whatever when you switched to Windows 7 and/or to
Office 2010? I'm currently using XP and Office 2003, so I'm guessing it's
quite a change. I have Jaws 12, and I'll be reviewing their tutorials on the
subjects tomorrow.

Any thoughts would be appreciated.

Donna
