[stylist] Back from vacation, finished editing a novel, and new troubles

April,

It's truly about what works for you, but I always encourage people to
learn and use whatever tool is available to discover what works best and
in what situation a certain tool or method is preferred. Again, the more
tools in your arsenal, the more prepared you can be no matter the
situation.

And no worries on answering emails. Get to it when you have time. I'm
chasing an eleven-month-old around these days, so I check email in
between all the chaos. He's super active and I think he thinks he's a
monkey, grin. This week he discovered how to climb up the baby gate in
the kitchen, yikes. Fortunately, if he learns to make it over, it's only
blocking off the kitchen and not a set of stairs. BTW, the gate is about
3 feet tall, and the little monkey is starting to scale it, LOL!

Bill, do these glasses look like any regular, old glasses, or are they a
bit more conspicuous? And what does a device like that cost? I agree a
tool like this could be helpful for someone with any level of hearing
loss.

Hi Robert Leslie Newman,

I don't yet use a white cane. I do have a wooden one for my hip and
knees. That's on my list of questions for my appointment on August 12.
I have decided to take my wooden cane in any similar conditions until I
have had mobility training. It's only been three months of getting the
help I need started. I did send my occupational therapist an email with
what happened, and expect her to be working on it.

Hi Bridgit Pollpeter,

Yes, I am looking in to getting one. That experience really upset
me. Not only is it dangerous for me, it's dangerous for others. At
home, I'm mostly okay. Out and about, not so much. My wooden cane will
have to do until I can get mobility training.

And yes, I do intend to reply to the long email you sent. I
received it right before we left on the first part of the vacation.

Hi Bill Outman,

That sounds interesting. Glasses that vibrate might be good for
me, since I have hearing loss as well. I'll check into them.
