[stylist] the synesthesia poem ... finally!

I don't *see* like this, but when I picture things in my head, in
particular scenes in a book, I picture them in various tones. I still
see the scene visually, but just in different tones. For example,
perhaps everything will be in deep, rich tones, or maybe pastels.
Sometimes, a golden hue is cast over things, or even a gritty, grainy 8
mm-type look to the scene. It varies from whatever I'm picturing in my
head. I don't remember doing this when sighted, but I may just not have
been paying attention. Sometimes it makes sense, like if picturing
something elegant and high-brow, it most likely will appear in deep,
bold, rich hues. If something tropical, maybe vibrant, cool colors.
Other times, I'm not sure what the association of the tone is.

"S" is also blue for me. "P" is green, "O" is a real dark green, "N" is
reddish-orange and "L" is yellow.

Such an interesting topic.

Hi there, I have this too and didn't realize it had a name either until
about 6 years ago. I asked my son Blake what color s was to him. It told
him mine is blue. He said his was black and what did I mean.

I always see colors, not just letters and words and numbers. I love that
peoples names turn into colors and it is funny that I will remember the
color of a person before their actual name. It also helps me remember
facts.

Some words turn into two colors or even more.

The colors I see are like a colidascope, always there, all different
colors and always moving.

Glad to know someone else who does this!

Barb is a lovely pink color and Chris is bright gold.

Snugs,
Atty
