Dear Friends,

At our upcoming fellowship deadline, VSC is offering two Creative Access Fellowships for artists and writers who are blind or have low vision. These awards, supported by the  <http://vsc.cmail2.com/t/j-l-iikljlt-otdfhjn-s/> Two West Foundation, include $500 travel stipend. Apply by June 15th at  <http://vsc.cmail2.com/t/j-l-iikljlt-otdfhjn-g/> vsc.slideroom.com.

We are also offering the following fellowships for which you--or someone you know--may be eligible:

o    25 VSC Fellowships open to all artists & writers living anywhere in the world

o    5 Pollock-Krasner Foundation Fellowships for visual artists of outstanding talent from the United States.

o    4 VSC / Joan Mitchell Foundation Fellowships open to visual artists of outstanding talent with demonstrable financial need.

o    2 Sustainable Arts Foundation Fellowships for artists and writers who are raising young children: one 4-week residency award that includes a $2,000 stipend to cover lost income, travel, child care, or other costs related to taking time away from the family and one 2-week residency fellowship with a $1,000 stipend.

o    1 Grace Paley Fiction Fellowship, open to all fiction writers in honor of long-time VSC friend and visiting writer Grace Paley and based entirely on merit.

o    1 Civil Society Institute Fellowship for an east coast minority artist with demonstrable financial need. Award includes a $500 travel stipend. 

o    1 Alces Foundation Environmental Writing Fellowship for a writer whose creative work directly engages environmental issues, awareness, and the complex challenges facing the planet.

o    1 Henry David Thoreau Fellowship for a poet whose creative work directly engages environmental issues and embodies the life, work, and spirit of Thoreau.

o    1 Marshall Frankel Fellowship for Chicago Artists and SAIC Alumni, open to all Chicago-area artists, as well as faculty and alumni of the School of the Art Institute of Chicago.

o    1 Zeta Orionis Fellowship for a female painter, age 45 or older, living and working in the U.S.
