Piers Anthony was always my favorite. Much of his writing is crass and
juvenile, but other works have such intelligence you would be amazed.
Either way, they are all interesting and fun.
I really became a reader on the Xanth series as a kid. Love the
Juxtoposition series and how it brings science and fantasy together.
Historical pieces such as Tathom Mound and Kiva pull you in. And What of
Earth? is a book that I totally recommend for any writer who wants to
understand the editing and publishing world.
