Jackie,

Do you mean the Comments feature in Word? You just go to your application
menu, and find it there. When you press enter, you just type your comment.
Make sure the cursor is where you want to make the comment. Then hit enter
and escape to exit out of the application.

To read a comment someone has made on your work, you press control, shift
and apostrophe and it reads the comment.

Chris,
I have not read your piece yet. I have saved it and I will get to it.
I have questions. Do all in your critique group use the Review mode to make
their comments? I have been working with an editor who wants me to use it,
and even my teacher from the Center for the Blind could not figure it all
out. He does not know the JAWS quick keys.
Do you by chance have all of the directions for using that mode?
This is one reason I find it almost impossible to critique the long stories
that sometimes appear on this list.
I do recall your time-consuming responses to some where you do give
specific suggestions without using that mode.
Thanks for any help you can offer

Hi Sharon,

Thanks for reading and commenting on my excerpted chapter.

I've belonged to an online critique group for about 16 years now. There are
between 6 and 8 of us (people sometimes come and go) and we submit a chapter
or short story or essay every 6 weeks, and everybody in the group sends back
their comments and suggestions.Only one member has been traditionally
published, and in my opinion she's not the best writer and certainly not the
best critique. But everybody brings a different perspective and we all help
each other. And as a side note, one of our members lives in Indiana, I've
never met him, but watched him on Jeopardy! Last june when he won 3 nights
in a row and got $80,000!

I think you can post anything for a critique here, or ask any questions you
like. Just don't expect an overwhelming response. More people ask for help
here than give it.

Chris
