Hey Vejas,

Hope your summer has been good, and you are far away from the fires. It's
scary out West.

As to your question, I believe you can absolutely use the offered
suggestion. I've taken many suggestions, and given many suggestions over the
years--always in hope of making the writing better. I can't imagine anyone
being irked you took them up on their suggestion.
