Hello, Ken. The link works, but, since I don't have a Facebook account, I realize that it's the link for creating an account that brings up the message that the page cannot be opened because the address is invalid. Should I go directly into the Facebook website and try to create an account from there, then go back into the link you sent me?

Hello, Ken. I did some checking online, first, on APH's Meet the Monarch page, where a Monarch user group for Facebook was mentioned, but the link to that page said that the page could not be opened because the address was invalid. I next found a page for a lending program provided by the Michigan Disability Rights Coalition, but that page returned a message that the page does not seem to exist. I am also aware of the Student Pilot Program and the RISE program, but I am not a student, nor am I a professional employee who works with blind people. If you have any other suggestions, I would appreciate them very much. Thank you for your assistance.

You might want to contact APH and tell them of your needs. They have a few programs going on that might be able to get you one.

Hello. I was wondering if there are any agencies for the blind in the midWestern United States, particularly in or near the Upper Peninsula of Michigan, that lend assistive technology, such as the Monarch to those interested in trying it out for a period of time until it needs to be returned. Ideally, I am looking for a reputable agency that can ship the Monarch to me, since I live in a rather remote area, then I can send it back when it is time to return it. If you know of such an agency that provides such a service, it would be much appreciated if you could send me their contact information, or, better yet, if there is more than one such agency, I would like to look them up and compare them and make a decision as to which one I would like to use. Thank you in advance for your assistance.

Sincerely,

Jeanine Mooers
