Hi Mike,

Great to hear from you! It really is terrific how tactile art exhibits are popping up all over! One just closed here in Baltimore last Saturday and featured tactile art by blind and sighted artists. We worked with the curator, Sarah McCann and had some nice events around the exhibit—a community art project, and a panel discussion that I moderated. I purchased a beautiful pulp paper painting that was part of the exhibit. I need to start thinking about getting started on the planning for our next tactile art/tactile graphics symposium!

Best regards,

Lou Ann

Subject: [TAGS] Tactile Art Call

Hi Lou Ann, thanks for the note announcing the tactile art call for artists living in the Colorado, Kansas, Nebraska, Missouri, and Oklahoma region. I wish that the call was open to New Jersey tactile artists as I am traveling next week to pick up my tactile art pieces that were included in the "Please Touch the Art Exhibit" at the McKeon Center for Creativity in Tulsa, OK from June 7 - July 29, 2019 (https://www.tulsacc.edu/about-us/news-and-events/events/please-touch-art-exhibit<https://www.tulsacc.edu/about-us/news-and-events/events/please-touch-art-exhibit>). Wichita is only a few hours north of Tulsa but unfortunately I don't live in the states listed for the call. Maybe I should contract to rent a room in Wichita for a few months. :) Thanks again for the announcement and look forward to more tactile art calls in the future.

Mike
